Our curriculum is designed by me. My name is Tammy, and I have been homeschooling for almost 25 years. I studied World Religions but left to become a fulltime mama bear. Three years ago, I realized I was not happy with any of the curriculums I had purchased throughout the years! I decided to create our own using all the things I loved about the curriculums I had used, and leaving the stuff I did not like out! I wanted to create curriculum, that focused on God and His word, and something my grandchildren, would enjoy learning. We offer several options, as I have different style of learners and I am sure you do too. I have never found a one size fits all curriculum and will not claim ours is either.
Deep Inside the Forest Curriculum is deeply rooted in the truth of God’s Word. It seeks to cultivate wonder and wisdom in students while nurturing a love for God.
1.Family-Style Approach: Deep Inside the Forest Curriculum is designed to accommodate multiple children of different ages. Parents can homeschool their children together, fostering a sense of unity and shared learning.
2. Biblical Integration: Each subject is designed to teach the living Bible, to seek to read God's Word with a new purpose of seeing each lesson and how God orchestrated all. Children learn to read the pages with awe. Scripture verses show God's love for us and remind us of God’s promises.
3.Passing on the Faith: Children’s hearts are most receptive to the gospel during their formative years. In summary, a God-centered curriculum isn’t just about academics; it’s about shaping eternal souls. Let’s prioritize Christ in education, watering the roots for generations to come.
4. Secular Humanism’s Influence is LEFT OUT: In today’s educational landscape, secular humanism dominates. Children spend years studying humanist ideas, often devoid of God’s presence.
We must address the root issues, not just the surface problems.
Deep Inside the Forest Curriculum is not just about knowledge; it’s about encountering the Author of Creation. It’s about listening to the whispers of eternity carried through the pages of our Bibles.
So, dear homeschooling adventurer, gather your little ones and go on a learning journey like no other! Where you’ll find more than lessons—you’ll find God and His creations.
All our books are offered in pdf on the website. And most of them are on Amazon if you prefer an actual book.

When I decided to write this, I wanted it to be affordable. Seeing the curriculum prices was daunting to me as a mother. When I decided to write this, I wanted it to be affordable. Seeing the curriculum prices was daunting to me as a mother. Some were charging 50–70 dollars for a 4- to 5-week study, and some of the more prominent companies that homeschool our family of three children would charge thousands. I prayed about this and felt God leading the way to create a curriculum that was not only grounded in His Word but affordable. I wanted to produce something that all families could afford. So, I scoured the internet and read several books before I found the books I have included in the reading portion of our curriculum. Our curriculum and the books needed for the reading portion are very reasonable. I choose books based first on the content and truth of God’s word. Second, I tried to find widely available resources that can be purchased and can be reasonably used if you need to go that route. Finally, most books carry over into two or more of our lesson guides. Only for Genesis and Exodus guides. All guides after those are completely inclusive.
We do not study every subject every day.

I have started doing more of a block schedule since writing our curriculum. Our children retain more when we do Bible and 1 or 2 subjects from our curriculum and add math and their daily reading. If I felt it was a light day, I assigned their electives to them, but they chose to do them on their own most days. They are interest-based, and they love doing them. It has also allowed for richer and deeper conversations about what we are studying.
Since this is a family-style curriculum, I have my journal, and we do the lessons together. There are two reasons why I believe this is important. First, it will set a precedent that we are never too old to learn and set an example of learning as a family. Something I feel has been lost over the years. We need to recover our families. Second, there is no better way to spend time as a family than learning how God wants us to live.
It has been two years since we, as a family, started this incredible journey.

It has been three incredible years of producing our own curriculum for our family and sharing it with others. We have had ups and downs along the way, but it has been such a blessing for our family. We have watched as our curriculum has touched others' lives and made them a family with us through this journey.
We have created two electives for our customers, the first being Guinea Pigs and then Horses. We are working on one now that was requested, and we just put out two brand new electives. Men of the Renaissance and Women of the Renaissance.
We are early into the year, but Deuteronomy will be released this year.
